Dugan now has a playmate! We have a new kitten at our house, and Dugan is very excited about it. Her name is Penny and we got her from the county’s animal incarceration center for unwanted animals (the Pound).
Dugan is very friendly with other animals. The only problem is he thinks that everyone else (animals and people) must be as happy to see him as he is to see them. Dugan shows that he is happy to make acquaintances with a puppy-like wiggly exuberance. To see a 150 lb dog dance around would frighten any dog-shy individual. It is hard for a cat to warm up to such an introduction, but Penny has made a friend of Dugan in less than 2 weeks.
Penny weighs only 4 lbs, and it is really something to see her fearlessly face up to Dugan when he starts to play a little too rough. Penny is very affectionate, she likes to be petted. When she starts to purr, it sounds like she has a little motor running inside of her. We are glad to see a warm friendship forming between Dugan the Dog and Penny the Meower!

Love the pics and the captions! :-)
Aw! They are so cute together. I noticed something, though. You seem to have a reference for gray pets.
I can't wait to meet Penny in person! I'm glad Dugan has a friend - even if she's a fraction of his size. Your captions are so funny!
