Dugan the Dogs "Tail" of Destruction!

Dugan is a peace loving and friendly dog; he is a happy hound. But when Dugan is extra happy he unleashes the awesome and destructive power of his mighty tail. His tail is 26 inches long (28 inches to the tip of his tail fur). When he starts wagging that tail around vigorously you can hear some heavy thumping and clunking as he whacks furniture, cupboard doors, appliances, walls, and etc. If your legs are in the way, the blows are painful, especially if you get a direct blow to the shin!

For the most part, Dugan is restricted to the kitchen area of the house. But if Dugan is extra clean we will let him into other areas of the house for short times. We have a long hallway that runs down the center of the house. It is about 3 feet wide and its walls are covered with pictures, in some places on both sides. Some of the lower pictures are only 2-1/2 feet off of the floor. If Dugan the Dog gets happy when he is in the hallway and if he runs down the hall for some reason like to greet someone, his tail is just thrashing pictures on the way sending them flying down to the carpet. It doesn’t seem to bother him any, he is oblivious to the swath of destruction left in his wake. Much to her consternation, it does seem to unduly annoy the Wife. I just chuckle and put things back together as best I can. About this time, Dugan is sent back to his “hole”, the kitchen. Dugan prepares to smash a picture or two with one mighty swish of his awesome tail.
